In the fall of 1998 two Ohio State University students formed a graphic design company called I. K. Designs. The next seven or eight years were spent designing and laying out and fliers, posters, web sites, logos, and tee shirts and helping to build the brand identities of hundreds of small businesses and groups in and around central Ohio.
In 2005, as part of an effort to in-source some of their printing services, the partners began printing their tee shirt orders themselves. An agreement was made with All Star Embroidery to use its facility during off-production hours, and IK Designs set itself to focus on learning absolutely everything about the art and industry of garment screen printing.
They formed Commitment, Vision, Loyalty Incorporated and opened CVL Ink Screen Printing Company on Nicholas Drive in North West Columbus during the fall of 2006. The new location was more accessible to existing customers and enabled larger production runs to be turned around faster. Since then CVL has grown in experience and capability to offer its customers outstanding value as well as professional quality specialty prints not offered by many competitors.
